"Memory of a girl" is an autobiographical novel of a modern French writer Annie Erno. The writer returns in 1958 and recalls her first sexual experience with a man, which turned out for her with the loss of her "I", depression and shame. Exploring the interweaving of desire and shame, the gray zone between consent and violence, she travels through the past and tries to give him meaning. The letter becomes the key to experiences and gives the form to feelings for which there was no expression for many years. The image of a “girl from the 58th” acts as a kind of guide to the personality of an adult writer, offering readers and readers to think about their own experience of growing up and intimacy. Erno herself calls the "memory of the girl" one of her most important novels
