This book does not have an author’s narrative, it is written in the form of correspondence of four characters. All of them are trying to understand the drawing of their fate, find the boundaries of free choice, expand their consciousness, feel true desires and learn how to trust life.
This is a love story, and the heroes of the book talk a lot about what it means to love. For all participants in this story, love and intimacy with another person are a very deep human need, which is connected not only with physiology or emotions, but, first of all, with deep feelings and with spiritual search. But we too often drown out this need by cynicism, simplified by Zan, incorrectly understood freedom, immersion in work, chase for success, etc. Because it is so easier. True proximity between people is less and less. We learned to do without intimacy, without openness. A meeting with another person ceased to be an event for us. Masks, walls, protective armor - these are the usual attributes that we encounter every day.
We are afraid to discover our vulnerability or weakness, we are afraid to experience pain. After all, opening, a person reveals to the world that part of himself, which is able to experience both the brightest, joyful, exalted feelings and pain.
