Christopher Zeler in childhood moved with his father and sister from Berlin to the English island of Jersey, where he made friends with Rebecca living in the neighborhood. When the Second World War comes, Jersey will occupy the fascist troops. The matured Christopher remains fearlessly on the island because of his German citizenship. Rebecca also decides to stay, but soon this choice turns against her-she has to register because of Jewish origin, and once they arrest her ...
