A collection of ten stories by Jeffrey Evgenidis covers the work of the writer from 1988 to 2017.
In his stories, Eugenidis explores human nature. His heroes are looking for non -traditional ways of continuing the genus, trying to overcome adversity and live on, decide whether to deal with circumstances and themselves or leave everything as it is. A non-pupil writer who decides to become a criminal, a young traveler who has gone too far in search of truth, a clavocardist, forced to say goodbye to his calling to support a family, men who are differently worried-all heroes are touching, sincere and very natural. They would like to be better, but circumstances are not always on their side.
Some stories from the collection "Find the guilty" echoing with the plots of previously released novels, and the story "Sprintsovka" served as the basis for the script of the film "more than a friend" with Jennifer Aniston in the title role
