Thirty -six -year -old Ida is married, has been living in Rome for a long time and works on the radio. The mother of Ida, who has remained in Messina all these years, wants to sell their old house. She asks her daughter to come to decide what to leave from things and what to throw away. Finding herself in his hometown, Ida feels with renewed vigor the pain of the loss that she suffered many years ago, when one morning her father left home and did not return anymore. The ominous disabilities between mother and daughter, a strange friendship, which brings only devastation, a feeling of restlessness, complications in relations with her husband - experiences become brighter and more painful in the house of her childhood, where, after her father’s disappearance, she grew a limp creature living in constant fear. She realizes that the time has come to deal with the ghosts besieging her soul, and find a way out of this vicious circle
