Korean Anna Carlson lives in the USA - an American family adopted her in infancy. Dreaming to see a biological mother, the girl goes to Seoul, but in the shelter she is informed that she died during childbirth. When the upset Anna decides that the searches are over, an unfamiliar old woman hastily sticks a bundle in her hands with an old comb and a card with an address.
