This is the most famous literary work of the Russian writer, traveler and ethnographer V.K. Arsenyeva, describing his 1907 travels through the mountainous regions of Sikhote-Alin. In the book, the reader will find paintings from the nature of the Ussuri Territory and the lives of the people inhabiting it: Russians, Chinese, Koreans, Udegeans and others. A special place is occupied by the history of the writer’s relationship with the guide Gold (Nanai) Dersu, who became his friend.
