The monograph considers the semantic composition and structural properties of the Gogol poem, thanks to which the accumulation of meaning actually occurs and the prerequisites for its subsequent development and enrichment are created. The role of copyright universals in metap -on is analyzed, the symbolic meanings of the image of the world and the image of a person are revealed, how the movement of meanings is organized in the structure of "dead souls".
