Alexander Galich is one of the most implausible figures of the 20th century. A successful playwright and screenwriter, whose films “Taimyr calls you”, "on seven winds", "faithful friends", "Give a complaint book" went in all the cinemas of the Soviet Union, he suddenly began to write bitter and burningly bold songs on social topics. Galich openly and honestly spoke about the crimes of Soviet power during the reign of Joseph Stalin.
For the desire to “say what you think” Galich paid his life. The exclusion from the Union of Writers and the Union of Cinematographers, the Wolf Ticket, control and surveillance of the KGB, constant stress, three heart attacks, disability. In 1974, under pressure from the authorities, he will be forced to emigrate, and three years later he will tragically die in Paris under the end of unclear circumstances.
Galich’s fate was shared by his daughter Alena Arkhangelskaya. The novice actress of the famous Mossovet Theater- she was dismissed from work and sent to the Russian theater in Frunze, to Kyrgyzstan, where guilty and disgraced actors were exiled.
Alena Galich"s stories recorded by Oleg Ustinov, is a bright, frank and largely sensational evidence of the life and fate of the famous Soviet non -conformist
