Mikhail Alekseevich Kuzmin (1872, or, according to his personal mythology, 1875-1936) is a recognized Russian poet, one of the most unusual figures of the Russian Silver Age. The critical heritage of Kuzmin is an example of the “blog” of its time: reviews on current events substantiating key theoretical provisions. Reading criticism of Kuzmin teaches to justify aesthetic principles, not reducing them either to the impressions of individual works, or to abstract conclusions. The author’s collection “Convenities” (1923), which included mainly theatrical criticism and reviews of literary life, is equipped with detailed comments that reconstruct the contexts of Kuzmin"s thoughts
