Collected Works in 15 volumes. Volume 9. People and Books

In the ninth volume of the collected works, the collection "People and Books", dedicated to the "Age of Nekrasov", entered. Among the articles of K. Chukovsky are stories about the writers of the 1860s, published in the Nekrasovsky “Contemporary”, the life and work of Nikolai Uspensky, Vasily Sleptsov, A. V. Druzhinin, their relationship with Nekrasov, their social position - all this recreates the literary situation era.
In the application, the critical articles of Chukovsky about the writers of the 19th century are placed scattered through inaccessible publications. Among these works are articles about Taras Shevchenko, A, K. Tolstoy, I.V. Omulevsky, about memoirs T. Passek and E. Zhukovskaya.
