The brightest representative of the Russian literary avant-garde Daniil Harms (1905-1942) belonged to the generation of Leningrad writers who entered the literature in the second half of the 1920s.
The difficulties of Harms" creative fate have led to the fact that now he is known mainly as a children"s writer, as well as a prose writer. Meanwhile, he considered himself primarily a poet. His peculiar poetics has now gained worldwide recognition. While only two of his “adults” poems were published during the life of Harms.
Tom includes the poetic heritage of D. Harms, as well as his poetic translations.
Opening the Tom section “Instead of an autobiography”, which included a diary, notebooks and letters of the writer.
A chronological order is observed inside the sections.
