Pyotr Dmitrievich Boborykin is among the unfairly forgotten Russian writers. Meanwhile, at the end of the XIX - beginning of the 20th century, its popularity reached sky -high heights. Maxim Gorky noted the writer"s observation: “I believed him, finding rich household material in his books,” and Anton Pavlovich Chekhov claimed that Boborykin was a conscientious worker and his novels give great material for studying the era.
Boborykin’s novels and novels are valuable documents of the era, they can be called the novelized notes of the supervisory contemporary about what they saw and heard.
