In 2008, Rodriguez became the laureate of the Alfaguar Award - the most prestigious literary award of the Spanish -speaking world. The jury, which awarded the novel “Nikita”, choosing it from 500 texts, responded to him like this: “This work was performed by the beating of life. The author’s narrative is distinguished by stylistic skill and an inexhaustible fantasy. Before the reader, as if an impeccable concert, the story of an amazing character is played out. ”
Roman was also awarded Florida Book Awards 2008 in the category Best Book in Spanish
