The story "Cheryomushka" tells about the life of the people of the working village. They are different in age, but their complex relationships do not prevent them from showing feelings of kindness and love. The harsh nature only enhance these feelings. Despite the sometimes comedic and tragic incidents, the heroes of the story retain the ability to be surprised and enjoying life.
The story "Call of the Native Blood" tells that the author himself survived a difficult life without a father, and gaining new relatives.
"Viola" - inspired by the thought of the power of love encouraging active action, and when it destroys it, experiencing unbearable disappointment, thanks to a meeting with Micheich it comes to the conclusion that life is good and it continues.
"Arcock" - a story about a girl who did not immediately realize what fidelity is
