The Center for gravity is the debut novel by Alexei Polyarinov, the writer, translator D.F. Walles, a specialist in American postmodernism. This is a novel about the actual-about the development of 1T-technologies and the unpredictable consequences of this, about contemporary art and the confrontation of man and system.
His heroes grew up in the 90s. The book opens up a story written on behalf of the boy Petro: the first friendship and sympathy, problems at school, a detective story with the search for a mysterious lake - the fairy tales of his mother become an organic part of the story. However, then new storytellers enter - his brother Yegor, their half -sister Marina, friend of the Greek - each of whom has his own, excellent point of view on events. Fragments of manuscripts and interviews are invading the text. History is rapidly turning from a family saga into an anti -utopia with elements of cyberpunk.
