Jules Verne’s novel “Fifteen -year -old Captain”, published in 1878, is somewhat different from all other works of the author - there is neither mysticism nor ahead of its time of inventions. It shows Africa what it appeared before the researchers. It was there, through the efforts of the insidious Neil, that Dick Sand turns out - a fifteen -year -old captain who was forced to stand up for the helm after the tragic incident claimed the life of the captain and all sailors. And now he faces a difficult task - to deliver survivors home.
