The current state of Russian poetry and its history in the "Age of Disaster" is one of the main research interests of the historian and sociologist of culture I. Kukulin. This book contains his articles on the poetry of 2001-2018: historical excursions, problem reviews, as well as texts dedicated to individual participants in the modern literary process. United in thematic cycles, these works allow us to trace the "main lines" in the development of domestic poetry of the XX and early XXI centuries: poetic creativity as a way of liberation from the everyday pressure of society and as a method of creating a new view of the world, the influence of censorship and self -censorship on the development of literature, participation Russian poetry in international cultural movements. Among the "heroes" are the authors in the chronological range from A. Akhmatova and O. Mandelstam to those who debut already in the 21st century.
