When in May 1945, American soldiers freed the concentration camp Buchenwald, in which over 60,000 people died, they could not believe their eyes. Along with adult prisoners, several hundred boys 11-14 years old went out to meet them. Among them was Romek Weissman, who remained an orphan due to the war. Psychiatrists who examined the children were afraid that they would never be able to return to a full -fledged life, they were so crippled and wild. Many years later, Romek tells his story: about the horrors of war, about heavy work in conclusion, and that he helped him not to give up. His book shows: the end of the war is not the end of the tests.
