The new book of Mikhail Yartsev “Blues in the Night” included five stories. “Deception” is a biography of a man-man-male, drawn into a string of crimes and intrigues with distant historical references, imposing an indelible imprint on his soul. “The day of arrival, day of departure” is the history of friendship of the young graduate of the university and the fighting admiral, Hero of the Soviet Union, who passed the Great Patriotic War, commanding the warship, and in the declining years of literary work. The tragic story about the search for your place in a changing world, about the transient and eternal in life, filed through the conflict of millennials with the generation of fathers. “On the last five” is a short story about love, lost and devoted, but newly acquired after years. “Blues in the night” - the story of the life of a loner, who was disappointed in people and found peace in the company of his beloved dog, who remained faithful to him and shared his loneliness. “Five Seasons” - notes of a participant in expeditions on drifting ice. This is a story about the Arctic, about strong characters, about real friendship and heroism, in which there is nothing heroic, but only a long polar night and arctic frosts
