Boris Yulianovich Kryachko (1930, Kursk region, Krasnaya Yaruga - 1998, Estonia, Pyarn) first declared himself as an original Russian writer in the early eighties, when his story “Blessed Dogs” was published in Germany, in “Faces”.
He was a classically educated person, read in European languages, although he had to earn a living “applied” professions - a ship repairman, a stoker. It is no coincidence that, probably, in his prose, the rapprochement of the two attitude is felt - high and low, the convergence of natural, intriguing and often tragicomic.
In his prose, the ethno and geographical outlines of Central Asia, the Far East, Estonia are visible. But at the same time, the invariable author’s essence that spoke in the language is preserved in semantic shifts, in a characteristic syntax. The letter cannot be confused with anyone.
