Edward Lear (1812-1888) - classic of English literature of the absurd of the XIX century. The current publication almost completely included the four main “Nonsens Books” (nonsense, nonsense), published during his lifetime. They include nonsense of different genres: stupid rhymes (limits), stupid botanist, stupid cooking, stupid alphabet and so on. Moreover, the “Big Book of Nonsens” includes a number of poems published posthumously.
Everything is noteworthy for Lira - graphics, painting, travel books with the views of Italy, Greece and other countries, letters that he filled with an inimitable verbal game and funny drawings. The real edition includes (first translated) chosen letters of Lira and excerpts from his travel diaries.
All works are accompanied by the author’s own drawings
