Friedrich Gorenstein (1932–2002) is a famous discident writer, for the lack of a literary future in the USSR, forced to emigrate to Germany. The collection includes the story “Little Fruit Garden”, the story “Iskra”, the play “Berdichev”, which, according to critics, is part of the treasury of world Jewish art. The main character Rachel, along with other actors - Jews, Russians and Ukrainians have been living on stage for more than thirty years.
