Ann Patchett was born in 1963 in Los Angeles. At the age of six, she moved with her family to Nashville. After graduating from college, she was engaged in journalism. Since then, Patettt has written three non -artistic books and six novels, received a number of prestigious literary awards. In 2011, she opened in Nashville her own bookstore "Parnassus".
