Judas Grosman from childhood dreamed of happiness for others. And in order to achieve it, he believed, you need to become the same as others, not like a Jew, and yet stay a Jew. In civilian Judas, he finds himself in the Red Army as a newspaper reporter and chooses a new name: Kirill Lutov. Under that name, he wants to fight for the happiness of the working people. But did Grosman manage to become Lutov? And did he then live Lutov, tear himself away from one shore and bend to another?
