Petrochenkov Valery Vasilievich - poet, prose writer, literary critic. The son of a personnel officer who died in December 1941 during the defense of the Khanko Peninsula. Throughout the blockade he was with his mother in Leningrad. He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism in LSU and, after emigration in the USA, graduate school in Colorado and Indian universities.
