The collection includes the stories of famous Indonesian (Sobron Ayit. Bakhtiar Siagian) and Malaysian writers (Usman Avang, Abdul Samad Said, Alias Ali, Asmal, Chris Mas) translated by K.A. Sigaeva. They raise complex issues that faced Indonesia and Malaysia immediately after the acquisition of the independence of these countries. The stories are imbued with deep psychologism, humanistic ideas, and some, despite the seriousness of those raised by them, and subtle humor. Translations of the stories of Indonesian writers are published for the first time.
