The story of Elena Sleptsova (Kuorsunnaah) (b. 1964), Yakut poet and prose writer, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) named after P. of Oyunsky and other literary awards is written in the Yakut language and is published in an authorized translation into Russian.
The story tells about the terrible fate of the Yakut intelligentsia in the 1930s, during the years of repression and persecution. It turns out that the color of the Yakut nation was referred to Solovki, from where almost no one returned.
In terms of impact and artistic truth (the stories of older relatives are based on), the text is comparable except with the famous story "One day of Ivan Denisovich" Alexander Solzhenitsyn
