The famous French writer and journalist Ann Berest is the author of four novels and co -authored with his sister Clair Birch Babriel, awarded the Great Fate Prize in 2017.

To participate in the prestigious photo contest, Emilien plans to create a series of portraits of ideal women who have achieved perfection in everything. She was prompted by a nervous breakdown of her best friend: a tireless Claire, the head of a large agency, an impeccable mother and wife, suddenly found herself in a psychiatric clinic with emotional burnout syndrome. In search of models for shooting, Emilin meets a variety of women - from the famous prostitute, the persons involved in the scandal with the players of the French national team, to the widow of the village pastor in love - and in the kaleidoscope of their stories, alternating fictional plots with genuine ones, looking for an answer to the question of what modern is modern female
