Today, the novel has been translated into thirty -three languages, plays on it, make films, and a monument was erected in Batumi in Batumi. The story of the love of a Muslim Ali and Christian Nino against the backdrop of stormy events of history will not leave indifferent a single reader. In 2016, the world premiere of the next adaptation of the book of Kurban Said, shot by the famous British director Azif Kapadia, took place. The roles of Ali and Nino in it were performed by Adam Bakri and Maria Valverde
