"Tale of Zaner" ("Ayadgar - and Zareran") is one of the most important monuments of the Iranian epic literature of the Middle Iranian period. The text of the monument is the Middle Iranian processing of the unheard of the Parthian original. Its content is associated with the legendary era by the king’s acceptance by the Vistaspoy of the Zoroastrian religion and the war with the enemy that broke out as a result of this. The sources of the plot "Tale of Zaner" are found in Avest, Mid Persian texts and in the New Persian Shakhnama
