“Acidanter” is the first book of the laureate of the National Literary Prize “Writer of the Year” Ulyana Vasilyeva-Lavriene. The collection consists of the story of the same name, short stories and stories. The story tells about the life of an ordinary person against the backdrop of the events of our history: revolution, hunger of the 30s, World War II, hard time after perestroika. The short stories and stories included in the collection tells about the “loneliness of the two”, choosing a life partner, equality of nations in the face of history, a duty of memory before the older generation, love for smaller brothers, kindness, responsiveness and decency.
