Having come up with an alter-ego charismatic and mentally unstable girl named Rebecca Smith, she writes to the reception of the scandalously famous psychotherapist Collins Bretouita. She suspects that it was Bretwight who pushed her sister to suicide, and begins to keep a diary where she records the details of his communication with the psychotherapist.
