As soon as opening a "brief book of farewells", the reader can exclaim: but this is Harms! The same short stories, the same black humor, albeit closer to today"s realities. At first glance, some crumbling mosaic, the connections are cut off every now and then, everything eludes and swells. But the deeper you immerse yourself in the text, the more clearly you begin to understand that all these grotesque situations and strange heroes - Nikolai and Socrates, Zaolota and Marisha Flood - are closely connected by what has gone, leaves or can leave. And then the meeting of Mini-Nolle eventually turns out to be a multifaceted novel, which the author is silently silent, but the more important this discovery is for the reader. In 2016, the "Brief Book of Farewells" was awarded the Prize of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine named after V.G. Korolenko
