Foreigners in Japan were always amazed that the vast majority of her citizens knew how to behave in society and in everyday life, how to react to any life situations with dignity. The rules of Japanese etiquette, collected in this book, give an answer to the question why the Japanese are not indifferent to how they are perceived by others, how and what they think about them, why, finally, for the Japanese there is nothing more offensive than to “lose their face”. The book systematizes the experience accumulated in Japanese society in the use of etiquette in everyday life, which allowed the nation for centuries, on the one hand, to maintain deep traditions in its behavior, and on the other, to develop more and more new boundaries of progress dynamically. The book talks about why the Japanese are in the need for voluntary preservation and increasing from generation to generation of traditions of national etiquette, the rules of worthy behavior of every Japanese in society.
