The manual discusses various options for drug therapy of non-small cell lung cancer in terms of defining their effectiveness. It describes the main classes of modern drugs, the features of their anti-tumor action, and the mechanisms of effect realization. The advantages and disadvantages of individual methods for assessing the effectiveness of anti-tumor treatment for cytostatic, targeted, and immunotherapy are discussed. In addition to the commonly used methods of radiological control, techniques based on comparing changes in the concentration of serological tumor markers and circulating tumor DNA are presented. Special attention is paid to the pathomorphological methods for evaluating the effectiveness of preoperative anti-tumor therapy. The book is intended for oncologists, radiologists, and surgeons.
