Roman "Marevo" is one of the first Russian anti-drug novels opposed in our literature to promote all sorts of liberals and revolutionaries.
Its author is Viktor Petrovich Krasovnikov (1841-1892) - undeservedly forgotten Russian writer. Initially, the novel was printed in the magazine of the famous conservative publicist and publisher M.N. Katkova "Russian Bulletin" for 1864.
Against the background of the Polish uprising of 1863-1864 in Roman, the confrontation between the young conservative Vladimir Rusanova and one of the leaders of the Polish rebellion of Count Vladislav Vronsky is unfolding. In parallel with this main storyline, the author draws an image of Inna ("Holy Female Soul"), for the heart of which two main male novel characters are fighting. How the events will unfold and whom the main character will prefer, the reader finds out, reading to the end of Roman "Marevo"
