Cheerful Italian Francesco Piccolo, a writer and brilliant screenwriter, sees reasons for happiness at every turn. He successfully found a parking spot, spent a hot August in the city, strolling in the evenings with a charming woman, decided not to wait in line at the supermarket, and felt like a free man. He even likes things that shouldn't be liked: breathing in smog, getting involved in street arguments, or watching TV with the radio on.
"Moments of Everyday Happiness" consist of numerous short sketches that come together to form a whole life. Here you can find funny journeys of wine bottles through the evening streets of Rome, love, and subtle confessions. The author-character seems to be constantly playing - with readers, friends, and his own destiny. And in this game, his childhood, youth, marriage history, relationships with the world and people unexpectedly unfold. And with the Eternal City, where the everyday events of this festive book take place.
Francesco Piccolo is a laureate of the prestigious Strega Prize in Italy and the prestigious David di Donatello film award. A successful film was made based on the book "Moments of Everyday Happiness" in 2019.
