The events of the life of Pavel Milyukova - a historian, a journalist, a political scientist, the leader of the Cadet party, the Minister of the Provisional Government - would be more common for several biographies. He met with Lv"s Tolstoy, talked with Lenin, discussed with Trotsky. The founder of Russian liberalism was sitting in a royal prison for anti-government agitation, for the firm foreign policy line received an ironic nickname Dardanellian, and in emigration I experienced the attempt of monarchists. The Nadezhda TEFFI, Mark Aldanov, Ivan Bunin, collaborated with his newspaper "Latest News". The spectrum of his scientific interests was extremely wide: from land tenure of the time of Ivan the Terrible to geopolitical problems in the Balkans. He laid the beginning of a new scientific discipline - cultural studies, spoke freely in several foreign languages, even before the emigration lectured in Bulgaria, the USA, England. As a recognized scientific authority, he never received the title of professor and, according to his own words, remained the last Russian privat-associate professor.
