This is an expanded and supplemented publication of the book about wars, revolutions and coups, about terrible and ridiculous, about life and death.
But first of all, this book is about people who are free or involuntary witnesses and participants of crisis and often fateful events. One of these witnesses for several years in a row was provided by journalist Mikhail Zygar. He penetrated the Uzbek city of Andijan immediately after the suppression of the rebellion that happened there. I visited Iraq and met the war of the war that went there.
But the main thing, wherever the Zygar reporter got, he every time found that the war and revolutions are not at all what they seem. And life and death are distant from each other only one step or even less, as, indeed, terrible - from the ridiculous, the world - from the crisis, and reality - from the myth
