The book sets out the issues of physics of processes accompanying a shot from rifled weapons (internal and external ballistics), the theory of probabilities of defeat targets in various shooting conditions, as well as issues related to the practical assessment of the effectiveness and effectiveness of shooting. The practical application of probability theory for assessing the effectiveness of shooting is shown by examples. The extensive information of the reference in ballistics of the various most used in our country of rifle ammunition, some constructive information about small arms and various rifle aiming devices are given, and the issues of the combat use of weapons are considered.
