The book is dedicated to submariners who courageously fought in the Arctic during the Great Patriotic War. Describing the fighting of the Northern Fleet, Bishop Nicholas does not aim to tell in detail about all the military operations of the North Sea - a lot has been written about this. The book presents those episodes that may interest the reader, and above all young people, to encourage it to a deeper study of the military history of our country. Meet the reader with the main milestones of the biographies of sailors, the author shows how they cultivated their talents, how they became commanders of warships not only by office, but also by vocation and in their internal qualities. Not all the heroes of this book happened to live to victory. However, the memory of the dead is alive-and not only in the names of warships, cities and streets, wearing the names of heroes-submariners. The Russian Orthodox Church also stores the memory of them, ascending prayers for the faithful sons of the common mother - the Motherland
