Autumn 1943. The Soviet command is preparing an operation to liberate Gomel. In order to prevent the advance of the advanced detachments of the Red Army, the Nazis plan to destroy the strategically important bridge, without which our offensive may stall. Lieutenant Alexei Sokolov is called to save the crossing. He offers a bold maneuver by a group of his tanks in front of enemy batteries. So our gunners will be able to identify and suppress the enemy’s firing points. Sokolov understands: thousands of other people"s lives depend on the outcome of this deadly game
