The book Russian gunsmiths is devoted to the life and activities of domestic creators of rifle, aviation, artillery, rocket, tank weapons, as well as a number of aircraft designers.
An important advantage of the book is that the author gives the story of the life of gunsmiths as creative personalities, reveals their interests and ideas, ways to achieve their goals, successes and failures, sometimes describes complex conflict situations. These experts in the conditions of an impending war, as well as during the years of defense of the Soviet Fatherland sought to ensure the technical superiority of the armed struggle over the enemy. Thanks to their work, weapons of victory were created.
The author of the book - Sergey Borisovich Monnetchikov (1961–2017) prematurely passed away, in this regard, not all the names of the designers, the materials about which he planned to give in his monograph included in this publication.
Dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.
