The book "Leningrad Stories" is dedicated to Leningraders - ordinary Soviet people, whose fate is somehow connected with the fate of the great city on the Neva. The book was built on the author’s personal memoirs about the time living in Leningrad in the period 1970-1980s, and about completely different people with whom his fate brought together. The book consists of the author’s personal memoirs about his relatives and acquaintances of the older generation Leningrades, with whom he was lucky to meet and communicate in those years, about the most important events of their life, about their struggle for the very existence of our beloved country, for our life today. The life and fate of these people were inextricably linked with the fate of Leningrad in those formidable and tragic years of blockade by the troops of German fascists and their allies. The blockade, which did not know analogues in world history, lasted a long 872 days and 872 nights from September 8, 1941 to January 27, 1944. Their stories today become an integral part of the history of Leningrad-Petrograd-Petersburg
