The aim of this book is to describe the evolution of the design features of all elements of serial machine guns and hand machine guns of Kalashnikov domestic production in accordance with the period and place of manufacture (Izhevsk Machine -Building (IZHMASH , at present - "Kalashnikov Concern), Tula weapons (" TOZ " ) and Vyatskoye-Polyansky engineering (VPMZ "Hammer") factories) The materials presented in the publication will allow readers to find out and evaluate the scale of the work done by the designer of the weapon M. Kalashnikov to bring the Kalashnikov assault rifle to technical and technological perfection.
The book is an illustrated reference book of all parts and mechanisms of serial machine guns and hand machine guns Kalashnikov with brief comments to each of them, indicating the essence and period of introduction to the production of a constructive difference, also in the work the issues of marking are also covered in detail and branding weapons and its elements.
The illustrative part of the book consists of graphic images and photographs of Kalashnikov machine guns and machine guns. The graphic part is represented by drawings made by the author. The photo images of automatic machines and Kalashnikov’s hand machine guns show the dynamics of changes in the appearance of the weapon, depending on the change in the design of its individual parts.
In the preparation of the material of the book, the author used a unique collection of weapons from the military museum funds: Vimaivs (St. Petersburg) and CMVS (Moscow), as well as samples of Kalashnikov’s weapons from other museums and private collections.
This publication has no analogues in our country and abroad, since the material described in the book has not previously been systematized or published
