In the early years of World War II, the Felix Hartlaub chief clinter served in the barrage battalion in the Ruky region. During the occupation of Paris, he worked in the Archival Commission of Foreign Affairs, and then ended up at the headquarters of Hitler. Here, in the secret zone protected from the whole world, Hartlaub kept an official fighting journal and secretly in his diary he made records of personal observations for the daily life of the Führer’s main headquarters. His testimonies make it possible to look at events from an unexpected angle, presenting a picture of a total war from Hitler"s secret bet. In May 1945, when the maintenance of the fighting journal lost any meaning, the chief clinter was sent to the infantry regiment to participate in the battles for Berlin, but on the way to the destination the destination was missing.
