1931, Ukraine. In the republic they raise the heads of gangs that are trying to arrange massive folk unrest in the republic, and Polish intelligence at the same time hatches plans for the occupation of part of the republic.
The gang of chieftain Konovoda, a great fan of hanging people and rob collective farm reserves, is particularly cruel.
And there is also a very noticeable trinity in the gang - strong lads, nicknamed the pointer, Petliurian and Odessa. They are a little strange, but smart, insightful, and the chieftain trusts them as himself.
But not a single living soul in the gang realizes that those lads have on their minds and why, having destroyed some well-fed representative of the new Soviet power, as if they were putting a tick in some invisible, secret and very long shot list
