This fundamental monograph on military art was written almost two centuries ago and has since been translated into many languages of the world and has been repeatedly reprinted. Its author is a Prussian officer, a participant in the Napoleonic wars, whose personal experience, of course, was reflected in the treatise. However, in order to comprehend the nature and laws of war, Clausewitz studied about 130 campaigns. Considering various aspects of the war (strategy and tactics of fighting, methods of advance and defense, the interconnection of war and politicians, etc), he emphasizes the decisive importance of military genius in the outcome of the battle. Clausewitz wrote that war is an integral part of the struggle of human interests and actions. He did not manage his brilliant analytical study, the completed parts of this capital labor are published in this publication
