Milished and offended

The novel "Milished and Offended" (1861) was created by F.M. Dostoevsky in the era of the extraordinary rise of Russian public life, in the era, when the publication of a new literary work was perceived as a socially significant event. Thus, the appearance of the novel was “humiliated and offended” was perceived. After his publication N.A. Dobrolyubov took Dostoevsky the most honorable place in the "humanistic" direction of Russian literature.
